May pole in Apley’s courtyard

I love this time of year, with Summer ahead of us, when the fields around our home turn yellow with oil seed rape flowers. Apley Farm Shop sells Shropshire’s Great Ness rape seed oil, which is a great alternative to olive oil & I’ve heard, just as healthy. There’s always lots going on at Apley to share here & last week was especially busy, as it was still the school holidays for us & I try to squeeze in as many meetings as I can whilst I’m in Shropshire.

The Heli Trip helicopter landed at Apley on Monday & the woodchip boiler got reloaded from a big lorry outside the office; the Harper Adams University students visited on Wednesday & The May Pole went up in the Courtyard on Thursday. By Friday, I had met 3 great candidates for the Marketing Assistant job & have since had even more applications. It’s looking forward to meeting a few more & then it’ll be very tricky to choose.
