New Year’s Eve promotions

Apley Farm Shop has some great New Year’s Eve promotions ready for you  tomorrow: begin your evening with some bread from Swift’s Bakery dipped in extra virgin olive oil by Philotimo (Greek Secret) & their olives. We have 4 green pitted varieties & 1 black variety (with stones).

For your main course, take advice from our butchers who will advise you on cuts & quantities of meat for your main course. Try bone-in-leg of pork £4.39/kg or local venison (snap some up whilst it lasts). Leg steak joints of venison £13.75/kg. venison loin £18 per kg, diced venison £9.25/kg, shoulder of venison joints £7.50/kg. You can even pick up a haggis with whisky for £9.95/kg !

On our drinks shelves, we have Prosecco & Apple Sec (the latter is 2 bottles for £10). Find your pudding handmade in the Apley bakery – such as lemon tarts (we’d just had one with friends this evening – sorry it was all eaten before I had a chance to even think about photographing it) & chocolate hazelnut tort (our *tarts now come in very nice flat cake boxes on silver cake cards).

To finish your meal, pick up an Apley cheese board from our delicatessen counter – we have a wide selection of local, national & international cheeses, managed expertly by Donna whose cheese knowledge & expertise grows as our cheeses mature.

For a New Year’s day picnic, take Sausage of the Week which is pork with wild mushrooms.

An Apley New Year’s Eve hamper makes the perfect present if celebrating with friends & family. Either choose from a ready filled hamper, fill your own or ask our staff to prepare one tailor-made for you.

*I’ve just double checked the difference: A tart can have sweet or savoury fillings. A torte is a multi thin layered cake with intermediate fillings & frosting.

We’re closed on Sunday 1 January, but open 9:30-5pm (our usual bank holiday opening hours) on Monday 2 January. Thereafter, normal business hours resume.
