Dish of the week at Apley Farm Shop is celeriac & apple soup (£4.25), which I’ve been enjoying at home for lunch. Cake of the week is very seasonal, using the first of the Walled Garden rhubarb – made by Lisa, it’s rhubarb & vanilla cake (£2.50 per slice in the Creamery. £5.95 per cake in the shop). Cheese of the week is Shropshire Smokery—smoked mature cheddar (£1.79 per 100g).

Tomorrow (Friday) is the last day children can drop in to add to our mural themed “what I love about Pigg’s Playbarn”.

A local author Jess Hiles is coming to Pigg’s Playbarn on Friday 3 June 10-15h to do sign language sessions. It’s in the May half term & is the same day as the Activ8 taster day on our event field.
