Cheque for £4,250 for the Lingen Davies cancer fund

Since 29 June, now a whole month ago, the Creamery Café at Apley Farm Shop has had a very impressive exhibition of photographs, paintings & poetry. There is an accompanying book celebrating the beauty of Shropshire in the form of photography, paintings & poetry. On the launch evening (29 June), Gavin [Lord Hamilton] opened with a short speech, after which a cheque for £4,250 was handed over to a representative from The Lingen Davies Unit from the sales to [that] date of The Secret Shropshire book. The funds raised from the book sales will go towards funds for a much needed scanner for the cancer unit. In the photograph holding the cheque are left to right: Maureen Westerby (artist), Hannah Perryman (designer), Jean Macdonald (photographer), Eileen Bentley & Marilyn Gaunt (Principal poet).

Drop in for a meal in The Creamery & enjoy this exhibition whilst you eat !

The book, which makes a perfect present, can be bought in the Cafe, the Farm Shop & on Amazon.
