If you are hoping to skip cooking duties this bank holiday weekend, head to Apley’s delicatessen counter which is well stocked with plenty of Apley handmade products including traditional & cheese scotch eggs (sous-chef Matt has been perfecting these), Shepherd’s pie, Lasagne, Wild garlic pesto (I just love having it for lunch!), roast beef, turkey & ham. We also have 4 types of handmade quiches, made right here – Courgette & cheddar quiche & Smoked ham & tomato quiche (Quiche Lorraine). Last week, I heard the Asparagus & goat’s cheese quiche was popular (I hope that one comes back soon) & Apley Walled Garden beetroot & goat’s cheese quiche.

Whilst there, pick up a block of The Apley Cheese (Cheshire recipe by Mr Moyden) for £2.49 per 100g. It’s so versatile – great cold, grated or used in recipes.
