CPRE drawing competition at Pigg’s Playbarn

cpre_newlogohi_big_e_lrg_pinkPigg’s Playbarn at Apley Farm Shop is one of the venues for the CPRE‘s drawing competition called The Big Draw. On Saturday 11 October, 10-4pm, just come along & draw. It’ll be taking place at 4 venues in Shropshire (listed below, with dates).

Here’s an extract from their press release: “With funding from the Big Lottery ‘Awards 4 All,’ CPRE Shropshire is inviting families to attend four free family drawing events covering north, south, east and west of Shropshire as part of the ‘Big Draw’ – The Big Draw is a nationwide event in October which promotes drawing as a tool, art and means of expression. This year’s theme is ‘It’s Our World, a celebration of the environment and sustainability.’ This is a great theme for CPRE Shropshire (Campaign to Protect Rural England).

“It’s Our Shropshire!” events will take place from 10 am – 4 pm at:

  1. Piggs Playbarn, Apley Farm Shop, Shifnal: Saturday Oct 11th
  2. The Wildlife Trust, Shrewsbury: Saturday Oct 18th
  3. Acton Scott Historic Working Farm*, Church Stretton: Saturday Oct 25th *(normal entrance charges will apply)
  4. Fordhall Organic Farm, Market Drayton: Sunday Nov 2nd

The events are a great opportunity for families to have fun, try out drawing and collage, flex creative skills, learn more about the local landscapes and share ideas and feelings about what makes ‘our Shropshire’ special to each of us. No pre-booking required, just ‘drop- in!’
