Firstly, don’t miss out on delicious free tasters most Saturdays – I’ll give more details here as they come in. It’s a great way to make your weekly food shopping more exciting with new foods & drinks from local suppliers.

If that inspires you further, come along to Apley Cookery Club on Saturday 5 July, 10-11.30am in our Conference room. Totally free & open to everyone. July’s theme is cheese & pickling, so bring along any written, typed & or cooked recipes to share & taste with others. The next club will be game recipes on 6 September.

28 July 2013, Icecream Sundae, compressedAt our monthly Sunday craft fairs on 6 July & 3 August, visitors will have a hands-on opportunity to have-a-go at a craft. The less hands-on visitors can just enjoy chatting with the crafters as they demonstrate their skills.

Our big event of the month is Icecream Sundae & Classic Car Funday on Sunday 20 July. It promises to be another fun day out with something for everyone. Bring along your classic car & join in the display. There will be free tasters of local icecreams & even the chance to create your own icecream flavour !

Children can enjoy free Summer holiday activities in Pigg’s Playbarn every Wednesday from 23 July to 27 August, 10-12 noon.

Finally, come & visit our stands at Cosford Food Festival, 26-27 July & at the ever popular Burwarton Show on 7 August.

Catch your chance to attend one of our last Open Tours of Apley Walled Garden on Tuesday 5 August. There’s need to book – just meet the Head Gardener at the Shop at 10am & pay £5 per person. You’ll be back by 12noon & if hungry, drop into The Creamery Café to taste the produce you’ve seeing growing ! Our Specials menu changes daily, following whatever is available locally & in season.
